GenTech utilizes Constructware as our Project Collaboration Software. It is a Web-based program which tracks and organizes all Project Information from Drawing Logs to Submittals. Online access can be provided to owners and designers. Due to Constructware’s robust system and ease of use, it was acquired in 2007 by AutoDesk, an industry leader. To our knowledge, GenTech is the only Contractor in the Chattanooga market utilizing this platform. For more information about Constructware, please visit

Although GenTech does not provide complete in-house design services, we do offer basic space planning. GenTech uses a comprehensive CAD program which enables us to take a sketch from a “napkin” and refine it for conceptual estimating in the earliest phases of development. In addition, our work can be used to save time and money when a designer is consulted.

GenTech employs techniques and methods in the estimating process which allows us to perform an accurate and useful estimate during every facet of the project. Each project is estimated from scratch based on materials and labor required for that project. We do not attempt to fit your project into our box. Our estimates are shared with the owners and designers to maximize value at the team level.

digital closeout

GenTech finalizes every project with a digital closeout in addition to the hard documents which enables quick retrieval as required. From Contracts to As-Built Drawings, it is all just a few clicks away.

job cost accounting

GenTech utilizes StarBuilder, from AMSI Construction Management. It is a complete job cost and financial control system designed for the construction industry. StarBuilder construction job cost accounting software provides information about each job’s contracts, labor and material costs, subcontractor’s performance and cash position. Plus, StarBuilder job cost accounting software offers greater flexibility in the use of that information in making critical business decisions. We believe you can not choose the best path going forward if you do not know where to start. For additional information please visit:
